Race Riesling 2012

North Fork of Long Island, New York Race Riesling is a delightful dry Riesling perfect for summertime enjoyment with good food and friends (sailboat optional!) The new Race wines are crafted by veteran North Fork winemaker Greg Gove at Peconic Bay Winery in Cutchogue. This Riesling is crisp and dry with finesse, balance and subtle complexity. Alc. 10.4% Race Riesling is soft yellow-green in color with intense aromatics. Light-medium in body with a dry finish, the wine is beautifully balanced with lively acidity. It offers rich flavors of apricots, green apples, citrus and distinctive minerality. Fermented in stainless steel, with no oak, this wine is elegant and refreshing with a long, clean finish. Enjoy Race Riesling over the next 2-3 years with pan-fried trout, grilled shrimp, fried chicken, and spicy Thai dishes.
