This soft, inviting Chianti Classico impresses for its superb balance and class." We wholeheartedly concur! Rocca di Castagnoli Chianti Classico is 90% Sangiovese, 5% Colorino and 5% Canaiolo. It is ruby red in color with a beautiful nose of berries, plums, spices, licorice and violets. Medium in body with moderate acidity and silky tannins, this red offers flavors of black cherry, blackberry and licorice, with nicely balanced oak. Aged for at least 12 months in oak casks and tonneaux, it is ready to enjoy now or to cellar for 5-6 years. The finish is long and refined.
