Hudson River Region AVA, New York
Rosina’s Bianco Macerato Amber Wine is a beautiful orange wine from New York’s Hudson River Region. Michele Callisto had a vision of creating a vineyard that was rooted in family tradition and innovative viticulture practices. From these values, Rosina’s Winery was born, named after his mother and daughter. The vineyard is located on 56 acres in the Hudson River Valley region, in Middletown, NY. The orientation and terroir provide stability for the roots and protection from frost and disease. The silt loam helps to fertilize the land with nutrients that encourage growth. It’s the perfect combination of sand, silt and clay. This mixture allows water and nutrients to penetrate the soil and provides adequate drainage with minimal intervention for a strong healthy root system.
Rosina’s Bianco Macerato Amber Wine is an amber (orange) white wine made the way a red wine is made—with contact with the grape skins to impart some color to the wine. This amber wine is a blend of Tocai Friulano, Pinot Grigio, and Muscat Valvin, all from estate vineyards in the Hudson River Region. This blend of grapes fermented on the skin results in a layered wine with a soft mouthfeel, accompanied by aromatics of jasmine, candied citrus, and stone fruit.
Enjoy Rosina’s Bianco Macerato Amber Wine with pan-fried trout, spicy Asian dishes, fried chicken, and fruit.
