Hudson River Region AVA, New York
Silver Medal, San Francisco International Wine Competition
Rosina’s Gamay Noir is a beautiful dry red wine from New York’s Hudson River Region. Michele Callisto had a vision of creating a vineyard that was rooted in family tradition and innovative viticulture practices. From these values, Rosina’s Winery was born, named after his mother and daughter. The vineyard is located on 56 acres in the Hudson River Valley region, in Middletown, NY. The orientation and terroir provide stability for the roots and protection from frost and disease. The silt loam helps to fertilize the land with nutrients that encourage growth. It’s the perfect combination of sand, silt and clay. This mixture allows water and nutrients to penetrate the soil and provides adequate drainage with minimal intervention for a strong healthy root system.
Rosina’s Gamay Noir is a medium-bodied summer red that also drinks well slightly chilled at a BBQ. Lightly oaked with notes of cedar, violet, and slate; this wine delivers on fruit with clear flavors of cherry and other red fruits.
Enjoy Rosina’s Gamay Noir with roast pork, grilled salmon, rich veggie dishes and mild cheeses.
