Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Description

Marlborough, New Zealand Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful expression of this grape from the highly regarded Marlborough appellation of New Zealand. The Johnson family chose the Spy Valley terroir back in 1993 for its stony, free draining riverbed terrain. Today, the fertile soil of the New Zealand vineyards supports a range of wine varieties and styles and lends Spy’s wine its unique flavor. Terraced vines enjoy both rocky riverside gravels and deeper clay and silt soils across the Spy Valley estate in Marlborough, New Zealand. The region provides an ideal climate mixed with the best of New Zealand hospitality, against a backdrop soaked in coastline, mountains, dry hills, alluvial plains and native forests. Distinctive flavors of passionfruit and sweet lime intermingled with layers of minerality; with lifted floral notes, grapefruit and white peach aromas. The mid palate is rich and textured with a mouthwatering acidity. The primary fruit characters will continue to unfold for several years and time will reward. Nutty and savory complexities will continue to build and provide great interest through 2023-2026. New Zealand Sustainable Winegrowing. Enjoy Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc over the next 3-4 years with salmon, oysters, grilled vegetables, halibut, crab, chicken, Asian cuisine, and sushi.
