Storchi Perivana Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva is a beautiful red wine gem from Emilia Romagna. The Storchi family has been producing wine since the end of WWll and the cellar was refurbished in 2001. Brothers Gianni and Marco Storchi are the current owners. The Storchi vineyards are found along the Enza River, in the foothills at an altitude of 150 meters. The earth is typically alluvial, rich in clay and limestone. The proximity of the river and its hills creates a microclimate perfectly suited to the cultivation of grapes: significant thermal shifts between day and night, and constant breezes during the day. The high levels of magnesium and limestone in the soil give their wines a noticeable bouquet, while the presence of so much clay gives the grapes high concentrations of sweetness and aroma. Vineyard management is 100% natural and biodynamic.

Storchi Perivana is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. This full-bodied red offers gorgeous aromas and flavors of dark berries and black currant. It has nicely balanced acidity and soft tannins and well integrated oak. The wine is aged for 18 months in French barrels (50% new) and then spends a minimum of 12 months in bottle. Only 2534 bottles were made.
