Ica, Peru Tacama's first vineyard was created in the 16th century with vines from the Canary Islands. The original objective was to supply wines to different religious order that were recently established in the City of Kings (Lima). In 1889, the present owners, the Olaechea family, purchased the Tacama vineyard and wine cellar from the Order of St. Augustine. During the 1980s, in the midst of the political, economic and social instability of the country, Tacama continued to bet on Peru, preparing international quality wines, sparkling wines and piscos. Tacama Demonio de los Andes Pisco Italia is made from a fine and exclusive selection of Italia grapes, a century-old variety from the Tacama terroir. Brilliant, transparent and colorless. Fine aromas of mango, peach, silk banana, chamomile and lime. Rich and flavorful on the finish.
