Roero, Piedmont, Italy
James Suckling 90 points!
Vite Colte Villata Roero Arneis DOCG is a wonderful expression of the Arneis grape from the Roero appellation. Roero is a small, hilly DOCG wine region in Piedmont, northwest Italy, known for its Arneis white wines and bold, fragrant Nebbiolo red wines. Located across the Tanaro River from Barolo and Barbaresco, Roero has a unique landscape with rolling hills, vineyards, and ancient castles. Vite Colte is a cooperative of 180 winegrowers with 300 hectares of vineyard in Piedmont, part of which is undergoing conversion to organic farming. Vite Colte’s dynamic is made up of people who strongly believe in a shared concept of quality, where the responsibility of individuals is an integral part of the result. Winegrowers, partners, friends.
“Solid arneis. A juicy, mid-weighted palate, brimming with orchard fruits, pistachio and anise. The finish, a little pucker and a thread of acidity, sewing the seams taut. Good drinking.”-James Suckling 90 points!
